Delivered: mobile pet camera robot
Pet Companion Robots
A fixed camera only watches. A companion robot goes to the pet: it drives around the home, sees through a 4-megapixel camera, talks through two-way audio and plays with a pet that is bored at home using a laser and a feather wand. We have developed and shipped one, from the self-righting body and the drive to the app.
What makes or breaks this product
A robot on the floor of a home with a pet in it. It must stay upright when a cat bats it, drive predictably, stay quiet enough not to frighten the animal, return to its base on its own, and still stream clean video to a phone. Drive, power and video are designed together, not bolted on.
