PO-R1 Mobile Pet Companion Robot

4 MP camera robot with a self-righting body, laser play and months of standby — a base for custom development

A pet companion robot reference design: a self-righting wheeled body with a 4-megapixel pan-tilt camera, six AI play modes, two-way audio, PIR and human detection, and automatic return to its charging base. App and cloud included. Adapted to your brand through a paid development phase (NRE). Not sold off the shelf.

Why this design holds up

A camera that goes to the pet

Instead of watching from one corner, the robot drives to where the pet is, with a camera head that pans 360° and tilts 45°, so the owner sees the animal up close.

Sharp, day and night

A 4-megapixel sensor records at 2560 × 1440 with a 110° view and 3× digital zoom, and switches between infrared and full-colour night vision.

Six ways to play

AI play modes include a laser and a feather wand that spins and swings, so a pet that is home alone has something to chase.

Cannot be knocked over

A tumbler design returns the robot upright after every push, which matters when the player is a cat.

Months between charges

A 10,000 mAh battery gives up to six months of standby, and the robot returns to its charging base on its own.

Watches for you

PIR and AI human detection push alerts to the phone, with privacy masking zones, and two-way audio lets the owner talk to the pet or the room.

Branded app and cloud

Every project includes an owner app under your name — your logo, your colours, published from your developer account — and the cloud behind it.

Over-the-air updates

Firmware updates reach devices already in homes, rolled out in small batches first so a faulty build never reaches the whole fleet.

Drive and vision platform

A camera that goes to the pet: self-righting body, wheeled drive and 4 MP video designed together

A companion robot has to do four things at once: drive where the owner points it, never stay tipped over, play with the pet, and last for months between charges. Body, drive, camera, battery and app are designed as one system.

What decides whether a robot for pets works

01

A body that cannot be knocked over

The tumbler design returns the camera upright after every push, so a cat swatting the robot does not end the game or the picture.

02

Months between charges

A robot that needs charging every day is abandoned. Standby power, wake-up and automatic return to the charging base are designed for months, not days.

03

Safe around animals

Speed and acceleration are limited, and the laser is steered so it never points at the animal’s eyes.

04

Video and alerts that stay useful

Human and pet detection decides which events reach the phone, so owners keep notifications on.
